Desires, Knowledge, and Wisdom of God

God, being personified as Jesus Christ, has desires, feelings, and emotions. We are also informed by the Scriptures that Christ is the Wisdom of God. The demonstration of the desires and the Wisdom of God is in the Scripture text from Hosea 6:6; For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings. This is an indication of the wisdom and knowledge of God, in that He knows that man will always sin, and that sacrifice that man brings is not the reason behind His, that is God’s forgiving Nature, but rather His merciful Nature is the explanation for His forgiving Nature. Furthermore, offerings are not the solution for the sinful nature of man, rather knowing Him, God is the solution. This is true Wisdom of God.

God an Entity or a Concept

Abstract can be defined as existing in thought or as an idea or concept but not having a physical or concrete existence. “abstract concepts such as love or beauty”. Abstract can also be described as relating to or denoting art that does not attempt to represent external reality, but rather seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, colours, and textures. An abstract can also be consider something theoretically or separately from (something else that can be verified with physical senses or reproduced under scientifically controlled and measurable conditions) physical reality.

Abstract is from a Latin word meaning “pulled away, detached,” and the basic idea is of something detached from physical, or concrete, reality. It is frequently used of ideas, meaning that they don’t have a clear applicability to real life, and of art, meaning that it doesn’t pictorially represent reality.

Perception of God as an Entity requires abstract thinking; Abstract thinking is the ability to understand concepts that are real, such as freedom or vulnerability, but which are not directly tied to concrete physical objects and experiences. Abstract thinking is the ability to absorb information from our senses and make connections to the wider world. Other words for abstract thinking includes, reasoning, systematic thought, thinking, conceptualizing, critical thinking, free thinking, and logical thinking. “Concrete” is the opposite of “abstract”, so the opposite of “abstraction” is logically “concretization”.

Abstract intelligence can be described as the ability to carry on abstract thinking. It is a measure of one’s ability to reason and understand complex concepts and assimilate new information beyond previous experience. It is independent of educational and cultural background. Abstract intelligence refers to one’s ability to carry on abstract thinking. The study, in which monkeys apply rules about “same” and “different” to a myriad of images, shows that the prefrontal cortex — the part of the brain directly behind the eyes — works on the abstract assignment rather than simply recalling the pictures. The largest part of the brain, the cerebrum initiates and coordinates movement and regulates temperature. Other areas of the cerebrum enable speech, judgment, thinking and reasoning, problem-solving, emotions and learning.

Creativity is the highest form of intelligence because it goes beyond knowledge recall and extends into knowledge creation. “Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge is…empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self-kind of understanding.” Early studies investigating the relationship between intelligence and creativity showed that highly creative individuals are also of higher intelligence (Barron, 1963, 1969; Getzels & Jackson, 1962).

Empathy is a part of emotional intelligence. Empathy means the ability to understand or feel what another person is experiencing within their frame of reference. In the general scope of emotional intelligence, empathy is in self-awareness, social awareness, self-actualization, and transcendence. Empaths are highly sensitive individuals, who have a keen ability to sense what people around them are thinking and feeling. Psychologists may use the term empath to describe a person that experiences a great deal of empathy, often to the point of taking on the pain of others at their own expense (the concept [Entity: Jesus Christ] of Redeemer taking up the sins, infirmities, and pain of mankind on Himself).

Jesus Christ is the logical concretization of the concept or Entity known as God. This requires the highest form of intelligence, abstract thinking, which can only be validated by the Entity Himself (faith in God, a measure that is given by God Himself in different quantity to different individuals). An individual does not have this highest form of intelligence (wisdom), unless they are given, by the Giver of all gifts, Yeshua. Furthermore, even those without physical sensory perception of the Concretization of Yeshua have been blessed, as recorded in the gospel of John 20:29; Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” Whether God is real or abstract to you, you are blessed.

The magnitude and magnanimity of God as expressed through Psalm 8

Magnanimity means: “loftiness of spirit enabling one to bear trouble calmly, to disdain meanness and pettiness, and to display a noble generosity”. And magnitude, noun, large size or great importance, earth science, Magnitude is also a measure of the brightness of a star as it appears from earth, the magnitude of an earthquake is a measure of how strong or violent it is.

Psalm 8 is a poem about how majestic God is, and that the whole universe is created by God. This psalm also put man in comparison with the rest of God’s creation, and how God honours man above all His magnificent creations, though He made man a little lower than the angels.

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them [that thou visitest him]? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

The answer to the question posed by the Psalmist about why God cares or visits mankind so much, is because God loves us, and why does God love us so much? This is because God is Selfless. Out of all His creations, God loves us above and beyond any of His creations, so much so that He gave His life for us to redeem us of our sins, our debt. That is LOVE, to give oneself, or life for another, or mankind. That is how Graceful God is. Christ, that name is indeed majestic, at the mention of which every knee in Heaven and on earth, bows.

The meaning of Christ

In order for God to save or rescue mankind from sin or debt [the wages of sin is death, a debt that must be paid, according to the Law given by the Lawgiver (God) to Moses], God Himself, out of His Mercy, by His Grace, had to come down in human form, to redeem the debt.

Christ comes from Christos, a Greek word that means “the anointed one,” or “the chosen one.” The Hebrew word meaning the same thing is Mashiach, or as we know it— Messiah. So, Christ is really more a title than it is a name, although the Bible uses it both ways.

Isaiah 7:14; Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel [God with us].

Job 19:25; I know that my redeemer [vindicator] lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth [on my grave]. A redeemer is a person who redeems, meaning someone who repays, recovers, saves, or exchanges something for something else.

Zephaniah 3:17; The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

The Bible can be summed up as a love story, the story of God’s love for man, His creation, His handiwork. And in order for a person to be saved, the person should reciprocate the love, that is love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Furthermore, the person should love your neighbour like themselves, including their enemies. Loving somebody is not just what you say, but most importantly, it is what you do, it is a way of life, how you live.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When God comes down

#GodWillNotComeDown

#TheRighteousShallLiveByFaith

On numerous occasions, I have heard people say, “God will not come down, it is people that He will send and use.” Does this saying have a basis in the Scriptures? Furthermore, is there anybody who is righteous? And what is faith in God? Can faith be differentiated from belief?

Contrary to popular believe, God does come down. By the way, this is not about your prophet or pastor or evangelist or GO or father in the Lord, hearing the voice of God. Obviously, your prophet’s God could be in heaven or wherever such God dwells and still talk to your prophet on the physical realm, earth. Neither is it about your prophet being taken up to ‘the heavens’ and having a chitchat with God. This is about God coming down to earth in a form that can be perceived using more than one physical sensory organs [speech, sight, taste, smell, and touch]. Furthermore, because of the difference of opinion between Christian denominations, and between Christians and Moslems, on whether Jesus Christ is God, or Son of Man, and or Son of God, or Emmanuel [God with us]. Coupled with the fact that, on that occasion, it was about, information of the basis for Trial, and Salvation, using the Scriptures as Reference parameters, do we have accounts that God comes down?

In Genesis, chapter 18, we have an account that God came down to visit Abraham, not only to talk to him, but also God and the two companions with Him had a meal prepared by Abraham’s household, Genesis 18:7-8; Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared and set these before them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree. In order not to make this piece a lengthy piece, instances of what God Himself said about instructing Moses ‘face to face’ will not be dealt with in details. Any Christian, who believes in God and His Words, as contained in the Scriptures, in its Totality, should henceforth desist from saying that God will not come down.

Is there anyone who is righteous before God? According to Ecclesiastes 7:20; Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins. However, the Scriptures tells us that God imparts righteousness in man, this is to be found in 1 Corinthians 1:30; It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. Furthermore, in 2 Corinthians 5:21; God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. [[Jeremiah 23:5“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will raise up for David [Or up from David’s line] a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.; Psalm 5:8; Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies— make your way straight before me.]]

The concept of faith can be understood through the perspective of believe, the following statements or expressions possesses what linguists refer to as ‘subject’ and ‘object’; (a) believe is an expression from a subject towards an object, while (b) faith is an expression from the object towards the subject. Man believes in God (here man is the subject, while God is the Object). However, in Romans 12:3; Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. Faith is an expression from the Object towards the subject. Bearing this in mind, one can better understand the description of faith in Hebrews chapter 11, such as in Hebrews 11:17-19; By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.

In light of the preceding discussion, on the Truth that God imparts righteousness on man; that God gives a measure of faith to man, one can have a better understanding of the text ‘the righteous shall live by faith’ see Habakkuk 2:4; “See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness. This is what is expressed in Romans 4:18-22; Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”
