Paul’s critique of Peter

Galatians 2:11-13; When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.

However, Paul himself bend to the precepts of the Law with regards to the physical setting apart of Jews from Gentiles through circumcision, so much so that he subjected Timothy [a half-Jew: father was Greek, Mother Jew] to circumcision in order for Timothy to accompany him and be accepted fully by other Jews on his missionary journeys. See Acts 16:1-4. This occurred, way before Paul wrote the epistle to the Galatians.

In light of this, that is Paul’s critique of Peter in Galatians’ epistle, one might refer to what God as the Son said in Mathew 7:1-3; “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

Test-Tempt-Outsourcing; Man And God

1 Chronicles 29:17; I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity.

James 1:13-14; When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.

Mathew 4:1; Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[The Greek for tempted can also mean tested.] by the devil.

Mathew 4:7; Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[Deuteronomy 6:16; Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did at Massah.]”

Mathew 6:13; And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Job 1:6; Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.

Job 1:12; And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Isaiah 45:6-7; so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things.

God test the heart. God in the flesh [as Jesus Christ] has been tempted by the devil, but the devil has not succeeded. God cannot be tempted. God can allow a man to be tempted by an entity to whom God has outsourced the task of temptation. Though it doesn’t mean that He, God will allow temptation to take place, or to occur beyond the limits of the man. Because, on such occasions, God sets the parameters and limits of the temptation.

What do you seek? Whom do you seek?

Do you seek a solution to your problems? Do you seek miracles? Do you seek wealth? A way out of the poverty of mind, and or out of physical poverty. A way out of joblessness, misery, grief, loss, and or hopeless situation(s), that you are in. Are you searching for a job, for a partner, for shelter, for health or some form of security?

Well God as the Son said in Mathew 7:7-8; “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

So, I guess faced with the worries of modern life and civilization, the need for certain necessities and accoutrement, compounded by a global pandemic and climate change, in addition to which, you have a whirlwind of nationalism sweeping across North America and Europe, resulting in stressed out Caucasians, intent on driving out non-Caucasians either out or into the sea (cue Black Lives matter), the question is much more of what you are seeking, instead of whom you are seeking.

However, until man realizes that everything is temporal and the only thing that last forever is the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus. Yeshua has no beginning and no end, Infinite, Eternal, Permanent, Everlasting, therefore searching for something that is fleeting such as bread instead of the Provider of bread, bearing in mind that when you find the bread and eat it, the same enzymes in your body that help you digest the bread are the same ones that will break down you body into ashes and dust, one day when you die and cease to exist. Yes, we will all die one day, nobody lives forever, even with modern advancement in medicine; vaccines and the rest. Seek God, He is Spirit, worship Him and seek Him in your spirit in truth and you shall find Him [John 4:24; God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”]. Jeremiah 29:13; You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Do you know the God you worship?

John 4:22; You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.

You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know.

Are you the person who depends on their pastor or prophet to tell them about God? Are you the person who starts off their prayer by calling on the God of their pastor or prophet? Such as… the God of pastor adedepo, or God of pastor buraiman, or God of pastor sangokilome.

Obviously when you do not know the God you worship, then you worship the God of another man, which is tantamount to idolatry. Can that god save you? Can that god tell you what is to come? (mind you these are the gods that cannot even predict a global pandemic in January 2020, that started in November/December 2019, their priests are now making predictions about how good or worse the pandemic is going to get in January 2021. Where were their gods in January 2020? Probably on vacation in hell, before they take up permanent residence there.) just as it says in the book of Isaiah 41:22-24; “Tell us, you idols, what is going to happen. Tell us what the former things were, so that we may consider them and know their final outcome. Or declare to us the things to come, tell us what the future holds, so we may know that you are gods. Do something, whether good or bad, so that we will be dismayed and filled with fear. But you are less than nothing and your works are utterly worthless; whoever chooses you is detestable.

Anyway, do not worry when men do not hold you, priests of fake gods or idols to account for your false predictions. Those of you that say things when God, Yeshua did not say, according to Yeshua in Jeremiah 23:34 and 40; If a prophet or a priest or anyone else claims, ‘This is a message from the Lord,’ I will punish them and their household. I will bring on you everlasting disgrace—everlasting shame that will not be forgotten.”

When you have experienced Yeshua, who knows everything, sees everything knows and examines your darkest secrets, your deepest thoughts, when you have experienced Yeshua who protects, who saves, who provides, who helps, who comforts, who is a spirit, the Spirit, who you cannot see but you can perceive, hear, feel His touch. This Yeshua, who guides, befriends, love you, calms you, blackmails you, guilt trips you, and is several steps ahead of you, gets you to do things His way, talks to you in your mother tongue and tone that you are most comfortable with, gives you the impression that some things are up to you, only to make you realize that everything is up to Him. He is the ruler, owner and Maker of all. When you have experienced that Supremo, Yeshua, then you know the God you serve, not the one, you read (without understanding)about in the Bible or the one your pastor or priest tells you about.
